Holden Beach

Out of all the beautiful south-facing Brunswick County Beaches, Holden Beach is especially gorgeous. National Geographic Traveler recently named Holden Beach one of the best family beaches in the country. This southern-facing beach is uniquely beautiful in that you can see the sunrise and also set back down into the water! The Intracoastal Waterway is perfect for paddleboarding or kayaking while scoping the stunning views, and afterward, you can grab delectable seafood while watching the shrimp boats come and go. If you decide to navigate the creeks and waterway, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for dolphins playing at the surface! If you wait for low tide, you can also find small pools with lots of unique fish and other sea creatures left behind. With multiple restaurants right on the water, deck-side eating is serene and scrumptious and one of the highlights of this beautiful town!
