About John Salter

Hi there! My name is John Salter and I'm a local Realtor here in Wilmington, NC. I was born and raised in Alabama but have called this coastal town home since 2015. My wife Lindsey and I have a sweet little daughter named Penelope who keeps us on our toes and who makes life that much better! When I'm not working, you'll likely find me outside with our dogs, horse, mule and chickens; or on the boat fishing or cruising with the family.

I have a unique background that taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. I wrestled in high school, as well as in college while I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, from Lindenwood University. I gained multiple state and national titles before pursuing a career as a professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, where I fought hard for a few more titles. Fighting has taken me around the world and yet, we keep coming back to this wonderful little beach town to call home. I became a licensed broker while still fighting, however have just retired from the cage this past year to focus on family as well as life here in Wilmington.
